Mobile Application Developer (C++)

Reporting to Director of Software Development, the Mobile Application Developer will be responsible for the design, implementation, system verification, and technical documentation of leading edge mobile application software components on Symbian platforms.

The Mobile Application Developer role will have the following key responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and implement native applications in C++ for Symbian phones.
• Develop and execute unit test suites for mobile applications.
• Provide inputs to the design and architecture of the overall EQO services solution.
• Investigate and fix software bugs.
• Produce design and test documentation.

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science
• 3-5 years programming experience with C++ in mobile application development, preferably on Symbian platforms.
• Solid working experience with object-oriented design and programming.
• Good knowledge of mobile application development on Symbian platforms (S60 2nd and 3rd Edition), UIQ 2, and UIQ 3.
• Experience with native C++ software development on Windows Mobile Smartphone and Pocket PC (2003 and 5.0) would be an asset.
• Programming experience with network programming/protocols (TCP/IP & HTTP).
• Knowledge of authentication and encryption technologies.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently in a team environment.
• Good understanding of software development cycle.

• Bachelor of Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
