Position Summary
Reporting to Director of Software Development, the software developer will be responsible for the design, implementation, system verification, and technical documentation of Operations, Administration, and Maintenance (OAM) software for EQO product line.
Key Responsibilities
The Software Developer role will have the following key responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and implement OAM software running on Linux platforms.
- Develop and execute unit test suites for OAM software components.
- Provide inputs to the design and architecture of the overall EQO services solution.
- Develop software installation and packaging scripts.
- Maintain and enhance the loadbuild scripts
- Investigate and fix software bugs.
- Produce design and test documentation.
Work Experience
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science.
- 3-5 years experience with object-oriented analysis, design, and implementation..
- Proven skills in developing C++/PHP/Perl software on UNIX/LINUX operating systems, preferably in the OAM functions, preferably with experience in development of billing systems.
- 1-2 years experience with MYSQL database programming (SQL, stored procedure, and distribution).
- Programming experience with network programming/protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP), web development, and web services.
- Knowledge of authentication and web security technologies such as SSL, and WTLS.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently in a team environment.
- Good understanding of software development cycle.
Education
- Bachelor of Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
